Engagement Shoot

Here is a sneak peak of our engagement shoot. We had our pictures done at Shot in the Dark Studio in Owatonna, MN. Mark Sherman and Ben Johnson are the two photographers I worked with this last summer. They are great friends and incredible teachers. I wish I would've been able to work with them longer...I would have a lot more experience and knowledge under my belt.
Thanks guys for all your encouragement and willingness to do anything for me! You're the best!

Our Story

KASEE JENSON & ROB BOGLE APRIL 28, 2007
211 days to go!

HOW WE MET
We met at Maranatha Baptist Bible College in the fall of 2000. Kasee was just beginning her freshman year and Rob was a Junior. We got to know each other through some mutual friends and would meet up between classes or sit together during meals. A good time for flirting was while Kasee worked on the grounds crew around campus and Rob was going to and from football practice...that was a good job I must say. Why we never dated in college is a question we still ask ourselves though we are glad we met back up in the "more mature" years. We lost touch for a couple years. Rob came across a random piece of paper that had 10 email addresses written down of friends from school. He wrote everyone on the list, but my email was the only one still in use. Oddly enough, I had recently come across a picture of the two of us from college and had been wondering how he was doing, if he ever married that girl he was dating that I didn't like at all, and what he was up to now...then the email showed up. Our friendship grew as we were each other's encouragement and "shoulder to cry on" during hard times in our lives. We never thought a long distance relationship would really work for us, but the longer we went the more we talked and the closer we became. When Rob asked the question, "would you consider dating me?" I answered with a "yes, I've actually already been considering you." Basically, I was just waiting for him to mention the idea.

WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED

HOW IT HAPPENED
As Rob pulled into the driveway to a park only a few blocks down the road from the home he has grown up at, Kasee knew exactly what was going on. "I'm going to play dumb" she instantly decided not wanting to ruin anything Rob had planned. A good disguise was the fact that she had just spilled coffee on her blouse as they slowly drove over a speed bump and was determined to get that spot out right away. Kasee smiles as she works on the spot and says, "What are we doing?" Rob smirks as he simply responds with, "Going to the park."Rob gets out of the car and walks around to open the car door for the woman he is about to propose to. The same woman who is trying so hard to play dumb, but is loving every part of this moment. He takes her hand and leads her across the mushy, wet grass that had recently been rained on and warns her to walk on her tip toes so the heels of her shoes do not sink into the mud. Stopping on the basketball court Rob starts reminiscing about the past summer when they played with Madelynn (Kasee's daughter) on that very playground and the times he himself had run all over the park. "When I was five years old," Rob pulls Kasee close to him, "I found this ring," he pulls a small golden ring with a ruby birthstone in the center out of his pocket, "and I asked my mom to keep it for my wife." Kasee chuckled, wondering if the story was true at first, and gave Rob that special little look he so often receives. "Lets see if it fits." Rob said as he tries placing the ring on her finger. "Hmm, too small. I might have one that fits." Kasee's face beams as she knows what is about to happen. Bending down on one knee, Rob pulls a white box out of his cargo pocket and holds it open while asking, "Will you marry me?" Kasee paused a moment as though she were considering it and really had to put some thought into this question presented to her at that moment. After seeing the smirk on Rob's face that totally said, "you better give me an answer and it better be yes so I can get back up off my knee that's killing me," she whole-heartedly said, "YES!" He then put the most gorgeous ring on her finger that she had ever seen..."it's perfect," she said. "That was a true story about the ring by the way," Rob assured Kasee, "Mom has been keeping it all these years."
Here is a really bad picture of the ring, but this is all I was able to get downloaded at this time. More pictures to come!!!

Could I have taken any longer to update?

The answer is...YES!
ATTENTION TO ALL: April 28,2007 is my wedding day!!!!! Please, please save the date so you can come and join in my unforgettable day. The wedding is going to be very simple and small, but I so want everyone to be there. I promise my face will be glowing - you may want to bring sunglasses =) haha. We haven't decided on the time, but we are only having a cake reception. Not just the same old cake you can find anywhere though...I'm more creative and fun than that!
You will simply have to come join the celebration to find out the variety of shapes, flavors, colors, and who knows what else I'll throw in there.

The plan used to be that Mady and I would be moving to Ohio in October or November, however, there has been a new twist to the planning. Now, Rob is accepting a youth pastor position at a church in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Before the whole job is settled on, the church people would like to meet me...yikes! Can't say I've ever been the deciding factor on my guy's job =) haha! No, I think they just want to meet the wife-to-be that will be helping their youth pastor to make sure she is worthy of the man. Most likely.
I will be flying to Ohio September 22. Rob and I will make the 3 hour drive to Fort Wayne and do some apartment and job hunting (for me) then spend some time with the church people on Sunday. I will then fly back home Tuesday. I am leaving Mady with the family since it will be such a quick trip of here and there. So I will have to update you all on the details once I find out more myself.

If all goes as planned, Rob will be visiting me for about a week and a half in October. He will be taking advantage of the time between jobs =) During this time, I am hoping that many of you will be able to meet my husband-to-be and see what an amazing man I am going to marry.

Mady is still getting taller...thanks to her dad she probably will tower over me by the age of 5! ha! She is talking more and more, and is awake from her nap as I type. So, once again, this post will be cut short. Mady is doing great, as you can see from the pictures, and is cuter than ever.
I will post more about the things she is doing soon...ok, as soon as I can. Doesn't mean it will be within the next week, or even two. LOL!!!

Jason and Makenzie Caine

I worked with Makenzie way back in high school at the drive-in, "Cedar Inn," here in Blue Earth. Makenzie is such a sweetheart and her husband, Jason, seems to be just as nice.
I was able to attend their wedding in June, right before leaving for Ohio.
The wedding was gorgeous, even though the weather was not for the first part of the day. Rain, rain, go away, come again some other day...was the thought of many people waiting in their cars and under anything to keep them dry.
Congratulations Jason and Makenzie!

Climbing in!

Mady decided that the cooler looked just her size. She climbed on in and tried to zip herself safely into place.

Playtime with mommy and daddy

A variety of Mady being cute pictures.

The Photo Shoot

Mady posed all on her own. All these pics were taken within maybe 5 minutes. She's my little model.
I wonder where she gets all those facial expressions from...hmmm. hehehe!

Finally an update!!!

Here are some more pics from our trip so it's not a really recent update, but at least there will be new pics on the site. Sorry about that guys. My wedding planning has taken precedence over updating blogs =) Hmmm, I wonder why. The pic of the 3 of us is funny and I love it. We were all trying to squeeze in and I was trying tohold it up high enough to get all of us in. Not to mention trying to keep Mady on my lap and looking up at the camera. Lol. We had fun.
